In January, The Nook sponsored the
Step Juan project, a walking expedition done by one man. The idea is to walk from
Pagudpod to Sorsogon without any means of vehicular assistance and to do this for several weeks, straight, stopping only for food and rest. The backbone and foundation for this idea is to raise funds for the cancer children under the
Cancer Warriors Foundation. We provided a place for Tomas Leonor and his team to rest and a nourishing meal. We were glad to be a part of this project and hopefully to help promote it.
Here are a few pictures of that day with the Step Juan project people, our matriarch, and cousin Noel (who prepared the delicious breakfast).
